Yes. All stalls in all Klaus parking systems support EV charging. On most systems, chargers are mounted on the stall platform, so for the user, the experience is no different than charging in any other parking stall.
Virtually any brand of charger can be used on a Klaus system, and installation of the units can be done at any time.
Klaus systems use very little power, and can easily be powered by various types of backup power systems. Some buildings simply use a portable generator when needed, others have dedicated battery backup systems, and still others use the same building emergency backup power systems that are used for other life and safety systems such as security or ventilation systems.
Klaus Multiparking systems are installed by Klaus employees for non-Union projects.
Projects requiring Union Labor are installed by our Union partners who are experienced and experts at installing Klaus systems.
Automated parking systems significantly reduce the cost of a project by requiring far less space for both the parking stalls, and the access ramps/aisleways required, as compared with traditional parking. Many projects just won't pencil without automated parking. So, the choice to use automated parking vs. traditional parking is an easy one.
See how Klaus reduces cost and emissions
If your locality has no parking requirements, then the choice must be made to provide parking or not. In this case, the reduced cost of automated parking makes it much easier to provide a parking amenity as a competitive advantage.
In spite of more localities eliminating parking requirements, the use of automated parking systems in new projects continues to increase in order to maximize property marketability, and automated parking is the key to affordability.
With nearly 10,000 automated parking stalls in cities across the west coast including San Diego, Orange County, City of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, San Louis Obispo, Sacramento, San Jose, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Hayward, Redwood City, Burlingame, San Francisco, Sacramento, and many, many more,
Klaus systems have wide acceptance in all jurisdictions and seismic zones
Every jurisdiction is different, and those with less experience with automated parking systems often have many questions. As jurisdictions gain experience with these systems, they are readily accepted.
Klaus systems are manufactured from top quality approved ASME steel, allow for any required space configuration, and have been approved under Los Angeles' LARR and other unique jurisdictional requirements.
